When to use— Trekking and mountaineering as a midlayer under a shell or standalone piece in cold, dry conditions. Lower-output and stop-start activity where warmth takes priority over breathability.
Versus the Asger— The Floyen is warmer, heavier and better suited to static cold. The 50D Pertex® Quantum outer resists abrasion better than the Asger’s lighter shell. The Asger is the better choice for high-output stop-start activity; the Floyen for sustained cold and daily wear.
Body-mapped insulation— 100g/m² synthetic fill in the main body, sleeves, collar and side panels. 80g/m² in the hood. Targeted weighting rather than uniform fill — adds warmth where it counts without excess bulk elsewhere.
Synthetic fill advantage— Synthetic insulation retains warmth when wet and performs reliably in damp variable conditions year-round.
Hood— Close-fitting insulated hood.
Pockets— Micro-suede lined hand warmer pockets, harness-compatible. Chest pocket. Internal and external valuables pockets fits most smartphones. All face-lined for warmth.
Ethics & sustainability— 100% recycled nylon outer. PFC-free and PFAS-free DWR finish.
